Background
Do you ever feel like your mind just won’t stop? Maybe you find yourself overthinking every decision, replaying conversations, or worrying about how you come across to others. You might seem fine on the outside, but inside you feel tense, low, or disconnected. It can be exhausting to hold everything together, and it makes sense if you feel stuck or unsure of how to move forward. If you have been trying to manage everything on your own and still don’t feel okay, you are not alone.
I support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem who want to feel more grounded and confident in their daily lives. You might find yourself caught in patterns of overthinking, self-doubt, or people-pleasing that leave you feeling tense or disconnected. Together, we will slow things down, make sense of what has been keeping you overwhelmed, and create small, steady changes that help you feel calmer, more balanced, and at ease within yourself.
My approach is integrative, person-centred, and strengths-based. This means our work is guided by your needs, values, and goals rather than any single model or technique. I draw from evidence-based tools in CBT, ACT, and DBT when they are helpful, but I believe the process works best when it feels like a real and supportive connection. The goal is to create space where you can better understand yourself, feel supported, and develop practical tools you can use day to day. You do not need to have the perfect words or a clear plan to begin. This is a space to explore, learn, and grow at your own pace, and to reconnect with yourself in ways that help you feel more grounded and at ease.
Over time, this process can help you slow down, rebuild trust in yourself, and realign with what truly matters to you. You may begin to feel more balanced, confident, and at peace. You deserve to feel secure, capable, and connected to yourself and to others. Whether you are feeling stuck, uncertain, or simply curious about starting therapy, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation so we can take that first step together.
Salem is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience in both community and hospital settings, including UHN’s Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and The Hospital for Sick Children. Her work has involved supporting adults, children, youth, and families with a wide range of psychosocial needs, often in the context of crisis, anxiety, depression, emotional distress, and acute mental health challenges. These experiences have deepened her ability to support people coping with anxiety, low self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm, especially during periods of stress and transition.
