Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist (MSW RSW)

Summary of Position

This position is for a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (MSW RSW) to join our growing team at Talm Therapy. We’re seeking candidates who are members in good standing with the OCSWSSW or CRPO.

Qualities We Are Seeking:

  • Conduct individual and/or couple psychotherapy sessions to address mental health and interpersonal concerns
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
  • Assess mental health conditions using standardized assessment tools
  • Complete comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of mental health treatment

Training & Education:

Required:

  • Member of OCSWSSW or CRPO in good standing (qualifying psychotherapists may apply)
  • Master of Social Work or Master of Counselling Psychology or equivalent
  • Holds or is willing to obtain professional liability insurance

Preferred:

  • Certified to practice a specific evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT, IPT, EFT, IFS, DBT, etc.)

Experience:

  • Previous experience providing public sector or private sector psychotherapy is preferred
  • Number of direct clinical hours will be considered

Location & Compensations:

  • Candidates may choose between in-person, virtual, or hybrid. Consistent in-person availability (minimum of 1 day per week) is required
  • Candidates are expected to have availability for 10-20 sessions per week
  • Ability to provide evening or weekend sessions remotely is an asset
