Navigating life transitions, anxiety, trauma or depression can feel overwhelming and isolating but it doesn’t have to be. Together we can untangle heavy thoughts and emotions and find healthy ways to cope that are sustainable in the long term and unique to you.

My role as a therapist is to create a warm, collaborative and nonjudgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings, and how our past experiences may be affecting us in our day to day lives.

Our experiences are greatly influenced by our intersectional identities and my approach focuses on learning who you are as a person, your history and background and tailoring treatment to each individual using evidence based modalities such as  CBT, EFT and Mindfulness techniques.

Aasna is a Registered Psychotherapist ( Qualifying ) and holds a doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy from OISE, University of Toronto. Over the last few years she has gained experience working in areas such as substance use, anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues and  most recently in perinatal mental health at Women’s College Hospital.

Outside of work something that I find grounding is reading and working out.
